Day 5: Life Here Is A Test & A Trust
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Luke 16:10
We are constantly being tested in this world as well as being entrusted with treasures and gifts. It is how we use them and how we handle particular situations. There are many times where the most difficult tests are challenging the most difficult parts of us and this world. Purpose there is a drug or sex addiction constantly being flashed in an addicts face. Perhaps the ones you truely loved are constantly torn from the scorned and jaded. It could be as simple as the impatient getting stuck in a traffic jam. God wants to see how you react to the situation. Do you give in to the temptations? So you find forgiveness? Do you handle yourself in a godlike way?
Each of us is entrusted with gifts. Some of are wealthy. Some of us are beautiful. Some of us are intelligent. Others may be a combination of things. I have been entrusted with so many beautiful gifts. I am creative, loyal, love unconditionally, understanding, forgiving, beautiful, intelligent, classy, and am very reliable. I have used a lot of these qualities for the good of others'. I have put up with peoples' abuse all my life-emotional, physical, sexual. Some I forgave right away and others took me years, but all have been forgiven as they will have to answer to him for their misuse of their gifts. I abused my beauty for years by getting caught in the fast lane of modeling. I did it for the wrong reasons and got caught in many difficult situations that could have been avoided. Luckily, I matured and lived to change it.
What have you been entrusted with and what will you do with your gifts? Next time you are asked to use your gifts contemplate how they are being asked to be used. Use them with your whole heart and through God. If you ever feel like you are hitting a brick wall and in the same situation constantly; perhaps God continues to test you until you change what he is asking of you. Change the path through God and great things will be entrusted to you in eternity.
"So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?" Luke 16:11-12
