The First Month: Diapers-
Congrats! 👶 You've made it through what can be the hardest and most trying time as a new parent. The sleep deprivation and zombification is real as you get to know your little one not to mention the constant diapers changes.
As my experience goes, not all disposable diapers are created equal. Our petite little bundle of joy transitioned from the newborn to size one a few weeks after the one month mark and found a few of the brands performed better in different sizing.
Newborn sizing we 💗: Pampers Pure
- These hug nicely and we only had one accident. Can I say poo all the way up the back? I love the pH indicator turning from yellow to blue to let you know it is wet. The size was still a little big for our daughter, but performed well in locking moisture and preventing blowouts.
Newborn sizing we disliked: Luvs
- These were a great size just a little more petite than the other brands but it did not perform. We had leakage a few times and just did not seem to have a good core to lock in moisture. Blowout central!💥
Take it or leave it Newborn sizing: Honest Company
- These were a great size for our petite lil bundle but were hit or miss on preventing any leakage though they did have a great core keeping moisture away from her skin.
Size 1 we 💗: Honest Company
- While it was hit or miss in newborn sizing, The Honest Company really out performed any other diapers in size 1. They have an amazing core keeping moisture away from baby's skin come night time and really prevent leaks and blowouts. Can I say ADORABLE prints make these A+!!
Size 1 we dislike: Huggies
- We found these diapers did not prevent leakage or blow outs. Compared to Pampers and the Honest Company, we had twice as many onesie changes throughout the day. And I mean full blow outs to wear it also messed on the DockATot.
Size 1 Take it or leave it: Pampers Swaddlers & Pure
- We still love these diapers. They perform well, lock in moisture, but Honest Company's core is what they say it is and the designs just could not match any other brand. We also used the Pamper's app to see what fit our Little One should be in and felt that it was off. It said size two even though the ones are still a little bulky. All in all we would still buy these!
Being a parent has its challenges and a diaper doing its job should not be one of them. We found that some of the more expensive diapers were worth the money out performing in leak protection, moisture lock, and preventing blow-outs. In our journey we found you get what you pay for is so true in diapering. Save yourself time and piece of mind and purchase Honest Company or Pampers Pure. You will not be disappointed!!
