The IFBB North Americans prove to be victorious for Colorado.  Quite a few golden gents & ladies came home this past weekend.  Say, "hello" to our newest physique pros, Chris Williamson and Jason Robinson. With 10 days left until the two day event in Loveland, CO, The Gym Miss Fits and Mayhem continue to train like champs!  The eight bikini girls and a few men's physique competitors are said to be starting to get nervous and excited.  Two-thirds of this group is new to the stage.  The Gym Family looks forward to seeing them strut their stuff on the catwalk including our two 9 News Bikini Body After Baby Series moms, Eva & Victoria [appropriately dubbed Team Viva!]. Eva & Victoria are furiously sweating off those last few pounds for their big debut.  They began training at The Gym earlier this year with trainer & coach, Chris Williamson.  It has been an amazing journey to watch these ladies grow self confidence and enjoy their new bodies.  Even more admirable is that their husbands were along side them the whole way.  That's right!  These men came to boot camp, training sessions, and posing classes.  Way to go men! The weekend kicked us off with the NPC Colorado State at the Buell Theatre downtown on Saturday July 13th.  Competing in Men's Physique was trainer & coach to The Gym Miss Fits and Mayhem, Chris Williamson, Andrew Armand, and Jesse Lehmen.  Making their way to the bikini stage was Tara Harbert, Erica Cobb, Jen Padgett, and Cortney Romero.  Each of these competitors went along side some of the best bodies in Colorado while overcoming their own obstacles to get there.  Andrew will be making his way to Pittsburgh this coming weekend to compete in Masters' Nationals.  Congrats to all of them and the rest of the competitors.  Placings are as follows: Check-ins Mayhem: Chris Williamson:  2nd Open Class A, 3rd Masters 35-42 Andrew Armand: 1st Open Class A, 2nd Novice Class A, 1st & overall Masters 42+ Jesse Lehmen: 6th Open Class B Miss Fits: Tara Harbert:  9th Open Class C and Novice Class B Erica Cobb: 1st Open Class D Jen Padg...

Leaving today with trainer and friend, Chris Williamson, Karl Biermann heads to the New York Pro to compete in his second pro show.  He took sixth late last year at the Orange County Muscle Classic Pro.  Twenty other gentlemen are taking stage to hopefully get a first place and a bid to the Olympia.  This is the first year the Olympia will have Men's and Women's physique. Speaking of Women's Physique, June 1st marks the first pro show in Colorado at the Mile High.  The Gym is training hard with Cortney, Ashley, and Erica re-qualifying in bikini and newbies, Leia, Maggie, and Jen making their debut.  Men's Physique has some dashing gentlemen: Greg, Courtney, Jesse, Brian, and Adam [who also will being sharing the stage with his lovely wife Liz].  Many of these competitors will be USA bound upon qualification.  Good luck to all competitors!!!

www.capturesque.com The Gym Miss Fits and Mayhem trained, diet, prepared, posed, and got their competition heads on.  This was one of the biggest local shows of the year with over 250 competitors.  The Miss Fits all competed in Bikini: Ashley Dennis, Alyssian Vissat, Ambrosia Williams, LisaPfenning, and Julie Ezcaldo.  The Mayhem all competed in Physique: Cortney Durow, Robert T., and Scott R.  For every one but Ashley and Aly, this was their first time on stage.  Each has over come some sort of frustration, fear, or obstacle to make an appearance. 2012 Class D Winner Ambrosia competed in both Novice and Open Bikini Class C and did it all as a Vegan. . .no chicken or fish for this girl.  Boy did she look amazing!  Trainer: Shaun Spiers  Suit: Top Her Couture  Hair & Make-up:On Point, Tan: Zolarium Lisa competed in both Masters and Novice Bikini.  She might be 50 but looking at her toosh and those great legs; you would n...

Congratulations to Sean Looney, Mayhem member out of New York.  He took first at the N.P.C. New England Championship this past weekend.  He is now qualified for nationals and will be traveling with the team next year as they make their way across the nation to earn their pro cards.  Many thanks go to coach Chris Williamson at The Gym in Denver, CO. Getting prepared for a competition is always hard work no matter who you are. Not to mention we are all doing it for different reasons-get in shape, lose weight, reach a goal, etc. For Angie Dangler and Julie Gasca, it was so much more than just losing weight or being a part of the 9news Bikini Body After Baby Series. These two mothers signed up early this year with a goal set in their head. Angie said, "I had in my mind 25lbs was a good goal. . .". Karl Biermann recently turned IFBB Physique Pro at the 2012 USA Championship in Las Vegas, NV less than a month ago by placing first in Class F.  He is currenly on his way to L.A. with trainer Chris Williamson [along with long time bodybuilder turned physique, Jimmy Nguyen] as he takes his first steps on a pro stage at the Orange County Muscle Classic at Veteran's Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, CA.  He is slated with 12 other competitors including Tyler Larson of Hollywood, CA, Sadik Hadzovic of Westbury, NY, and Matt Christianson of Scottsdale, AZ who took first at the Governor's Cup in March. “Good overall look on stage. Needs to bring his waist in a little bit – he can look a little wide there in some poses.” said USA Championship judges about Karl. The Miss Fits and Mayhem are all eager to see how team mate Karl does at his first stage presentation as a pro.  Good Luck Karl!

Karl Biermann and new IFBB Pro July 27-28th, 2012 the NPC USA Championship was held on the UNLV campus with over 1,100 competitors in physique, bodybuilding, and bikini. The two day event showcased some of the most beautiful bodies in the nation with many classes packed with over 30 competitors in each. Julia, Nira, Jenn, Robin, Chris The Gym hits the stage for another beautifully done show by Jeff Taylor. The venue was an A+ with rooms filled with colorado's tip top shape competitors. Miss fits all took home trophies. Robin took fourth in 40+ masters. Nira took fourth in novice b and third in open c. Julia took fifth novice c. Jenn took first open f and had a close overall comparison. Mayhem Shaun took second in both masters and open c. Congrats to every one for their hard work! What a beautiful morning for an NPC competition. Representing The Gym are Brian for men's physique, Caitlin in Figure, and Keisha in bikini. Brian looked great! The judges did not do call outs for novice or open in his class nor did they change anyone around.   Keisha got first call outs in bikini novice class a. Only three weeks of dieting and training. . .as always OnPoint make up and hair service added to the total package. Keisha said that was going to be the most fun part! Smaller open class so no call outs.  Caitlin also got no call outs for either classes. Congrats to the Miss Fits & Mayhem as they all took home trophies.  Brian took 3rd in his novice & 6th in open.  Caitlin took 2nd in her open & novice classes, and Keisha took home two first place trophies.  Great work from The Gym and their trainer, Chris Williamson.
